Dairy Project

Project 1 Photo

- The selected 12 Dalit women are very poor. Earlier they looked after the animals of landlords. But now the women are owners of animals (buffalos). One buffalo is equal to one acre of land. They feel secure with their asset.

- 12 women became self-reliant, earning nearly Rs.6500/- per month by selling milk. This amount helps them develop their families. Their children receive good food daily and attend school.

- The women started small savings every month, saving 350 rupees.

- Initial training programs helped them in animal care and yielded good results. Due to training, they are committed to activities like animal care, timely vaccinations, cleaning animal sheds, health check-ups, and proper feeding, and saving money each month.

- Because of this project, many children receive nutritious food daily and can concentrate on their studies.

- Poverty conditions are slowly reduced in the target families. No starvation is present. Most women have left hard labor work and now engage in agriculture-related work and animal care.
